The upgrade looks great, I like being able to see the availability. Are you going to be able to put up a link to your webcam ? Hope to get over again before next year...GO DUCKS/go Beavs until the war

I love the new site! It looks great, I just miss the music from the old site, It always made me smile!
Chris White at 11/25/2010 12:47pm
Love the new web site! I sure do miss the webcam are you going to be able to have it again? I loved to look at it every day because I miss the ocean all the time so it made me feel like I was there.
Chris White at 11/25/2010 12:49pm
Oops I just found the link to the webcam. THANK YOU FOR STILL HAVING IT ON THERE!!!!
Larry at 11/27/2010 06:37am
I agree the link was hard to find, it is right at the bottom of the text in middle of main page, after "PS". I do think the link should be a little more obvious. But I still LOVE Happycamp, GREAT place to visit!
Cher and Chrissy at 11/29/2010 01:54pm
We LOVE Happy Camp! Our daughter brought us here 9 years ago.....Wow, how time flies. I think we have stayed in every cabin and have wonderful, wonderful memories with family and many dear friends. We have been here in the summer, winter, spring and fall and all seasons have been great! We love Bruce and Teresa and the ambience they provide with all the comforts of home and the beautiful views of the pacific. Very peaceful.
Thank you both,
Love from the Bivonas and the Furbies (of course)!
Ole & Cathy at 12/31/2010 10:41am
Looks like Bruce has been tinkering with the webcam or maybe got a better one? Definitely is an improvement as it is a wider view and much sharper. Looks like another great day at Happy Camp and a great way to ring in the new year ! Sorry things didn't work out for us to get over for the holidays this year but we hope to see you in the near future .
GO DUCKS & HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

We love it at Happy Camp. Every year around the 4th of July we pack the car, load up the dogs and head to Netarts. The dogs love to run and play on the beach while me and my husband sip wine and watch the sunset. We always bring friends along that have never been to Happy Camp and they beg us to take them again!!!!
The MT Rensels at 04/03/2011 12:12pm
Well.... We survived a week away from our kids. It was so nice to reconnect on an "all adult level" again. Although most days were rainy, we referred to the time as "Blissfully Rainy". The Netart, OR area will definitely be on our list for future travel plans! Great fun for a romantic get away as well as for family-fun-time. We look forward to going again and bringing the kids.
Happy Montanans at 04/27/2011 08:14am
All I can say is WOW. What a great experience. We rolled around in the sand, cooked over the campfire, and watched hangliders land in front of the Sand Castle. It was the first time our little girl smelled the ocean, and we're quite sure she will never be the same after her Easter egg hunt on the beach. Thanks for such a wonderful sunny retreat from our long, cold, snowy winter! Bruce & Teresa are terrific!

Staggering! This blog looks exactly like my prehistoric identical! It's on a from start to finish separate grounds but it has bonny much the regardless verso layout and design. Superb option of colors!

When I was a little girl we stayed in the tiny little cabins or campground or in the old Maggie and Jiggs. We always loved it and when I was in Oregon a few years ago I had to come see the area again. It is still wonderful. I loved the webcam. Will it be coming back? I am homesick!

On my first trip to Netarts with the girls this year I found Happy Camp and could not wait to bring my other half here for a romantic get away. We spent three wonderful relaxing rejuvenating amazing days here at Happy camp in cabin #7. Kindred Spirits -- how perfect for us. Peaceful beautful walks on the beach. So close to the ocean . Happy Camp is a great place to stay. Warm and inviting....perfect get away. We can't wait to come again. Thank you so much.
tom at 11/19/2011 01:11pm
just spent 5 great days in cabin #9. what a great place to stay. i don't think you could possibly be any closer to the water anywhere on the oregon coast. we had three really great days and enjoyed walking on the beach and then we had two days where we stayed inside by the fireplace and enjoyed the winter storms. another great thing is how pet friendly happy camp is. this was our first stay at happy camp but it won't be our last. thanks teresa for a great time
Steven & Rebecca at 01/02/2012 09:27am
We have been staying at Happy Camp for about 8 years for our aniversary on 12/30. This year was our fortieth. We have been staying in cabin #9 for three of those years for a week at a time and love it. This year we had the most incredible storms, but stayed warm and confortable in our home away from home. We always bring our puppy and she loves walking on the beach. Thank you Teresa and Bruce, the best of hosts.
Pat and Joe at 01/24/2012 06:31pm
We met our daughter and son in law from Portland for a three day retreat and loved our stay in cabin # 9. The tides were very high (and lows very low) for sat and sunday and was incredible to watch the dramatic changes just outside our windows. The cabin was warm and cozy inside and the beach walks at low tide were fun. Netart Bay oysters are the best, and the local deli in town sells fresh crab and oysters.
Joe and Lynn at 02/01/2012 08:14am
We stayed in cabin #1 last weekend with our 19 month old grandson. We had 2 days of sunshine and were able to play for hours on the calm beach of Netarts Bay. We loved the fully stocked kitchen to cook in and the comfortable beds. Thank you for your warm hospitality, we hope to be back soon.
Rick & Lori at 02/12/2012 06:55pm
We stayed in 3 for a few days and loved our stay. Our only mistake was not brining our Labrador who would have loved the camp cat, the beach and all of the walks she would have enjoyed. The Lovelin's are lovely and the whole experience was friendly and low key. We plan on coming back again next winter.
Larry at 02/28/2012 07:04am
We love staying at Happy Camp when the beach crab fishing is good. We are going down there the middle of March. Anyone have an idea of chances for good crab fishing? Viewing the webcam lately I never see anyone fishing, and tide always looks so high. Thanks for info...
Christy Marshall at 04/20/2012 09:50am
We love Happy Camp, and sing its praises to all who will listen. Last December, our entire family (23 of us) rented homes for a 50th birthday party. The weather was incredible! Children and adults could not believe the luck we had by staying in such an amazing location. It is on the beach, and a ton of fun for all. Thank you!
Mel and Jay at 05/22/2012 12:35am
We booked fairly last minute as it was a last minute opening in our vacation and just for one night, however we fell in love with Netarts and Happy Camp Hideaway...but next time we will book well in advance and for a much longer time. We stayed upstairs in The Homestead House and fell in love with the place... This is the perfect place for a family or the whole house for a large family. Teresa was awesome, and this was one of the highlights of the trip. I actually relaxed which is very hard for me to do. Definitely stay here.
linda d at 06/03/2012 07:11am
My dog Oban and I stayed 5/28-5/31-2012. It was the perfect week-day get-away. It was quiet and restful. The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed. The bed had a great mattress and I slept well every night. We even had sunsets every night except Thursday so we built a fire that night (they have a fabulous fire pit!) and created our own. The management and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were Happy Campers! We will return
Molly & Luna at 06/07/2012 03:47am
Booked a last minute mini-vacation. We loved it. Somehow we chose a perfect night/day. The weather was warm for spring, sun was out. Cabin was just the right size for my four legged friend and I, very cozy. I love that the entire site is dog friendly. We met so many well-behaved dogs on the beach. I have one very happy, tired pup!
Next time we will plan in advance and stay longer.

Happy Camp Hideaway holds a special place in our hearts. We've been coming here at least 7 years now. My mom turned 60 this year, so 12 of us came together to celebrate. We ate wonderful seafood, walked and played on the beach, laughed and relaxed. I can't even begin to describe how fun it was. We rented Family Tides #27 which was spacious, beautiful and had a stunning view of the bay. The weather was incredible! Children and adults could not believe the luck we had with crabbing. It was a ton of fun for all. Thank you soooo much! See you next year!!
Susie Valentine at 07/16/2012 06:32pm
We enjoyed cabin 3. All cabins are right on the beach with little decks out front. We also had a charcoal grill to use. It's old and crooked (especially the floors), the bathroom is tiny...but it's everything you need for a great family time at the beach. You can't beat the location. Netarts is beautiful, uncrowded, but a close drive to other busier beach towns. The beds were comfortable and the love seat was a pull-out bed. We also loved the wood stove in the living room. The kitchen, though tiny, had what we needed. There was a play structure right across the way. Our kids and dog loved it there. The people there were very hospitable and welcoming, although we did not see the owners while we were there. Again, this place is nothing fancy, but a nice little cottage with a fantastic location for the price.
Long Nguyen at 08/05/2012 08:58am
We loved our place #27 Family Tides. We originally wanted to stay in cannon beach or seaside, but we are glad we didn't after staying here. The place has 4 bedrooms; 1 bedroom was the master one with king size bed and very nice spacious master bath with an awesome shower. 2 other bedrooms with queen size beds and the last bedroom with two bunk beds and 2 roll out beds. entertainment room has a Murphy bed. 3 total bathrooms. It had a full size kitchen with dish washer and frig. Big eating area and plasma TV for entertainment. the place also included a Hot tub on the back deck with a BBQ .Netarts is a very secluded area for relaxing and getting away from touristy places like seaside Oregon, But it was 5 minutes away from Tillamook for major groceries and regular house hold items . The beach stretched for miles; we caught clams and crab everyday by hand or shovel. we meet the 2 neighbors on each side of us and they were really friendly. We had 14 people at Family Tides, the maximum occupancy. I would suggest 12 or less. Unless your a tight family. 7 adults and 7 kids. but not really a place for a baby with stairs and windows that open at feet level. the only negative about the place was the WiFi did not work but I didnt care being on vacation and wanting to get away from everything. Overall a great place and we would come back every year if we could.

OK. I met my best friend on this beach 42 years ago when we were 6, and we came back for a few days to talk about old times at Happy Camp. Thank god that these cabins haven't been torn down yet. It allows me to re-enter my childhood even for a short time. The campground is now all luxury homes and the original camp store is a private home. These cabins were built in the 40's and they all have slanted floors, the interiors need updating, some things work and some don't, but that's all part of the charm. Yes, you can nicpick this place to death, but if that's who you are than don't come. We don't want you here. This place is what it is and I absolutely love it. It's special, charming, beautiful and relaxing. With four days drama, Jill and I can sit on a log and laugh our asses off about it all. We have new memories here to add to our 42 years. And don't forget to listen to KITL for their "lost and found" segment at dinner time. You can recover your red stripped sock that was found on the beach and turned in! HAHAHA!

We enjoy the great time at happy camp last weekend, Cabin 28 is the best place I never been before, beautiful ocean view. We booked this house for last minutes but the owner seem to be very nice to us. We can see the sunset in every single minutes. Very good view . Definitely we will be back.

We stayed in The Homestead House four nights in September. Most of the camp was taken over by our family for a wedding. It was wonderful to have this large home for a group of us to stay together and just let down, relax, visit, cook and re-connect. I couldn't be happier with the home, the staff, the location and the relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely stay again.

We spent a week at Happy Camp in August, 2012 at Garner's Getaway, The Lookout and O'Hearns Heron to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had the BEST time! The Lookout and Garner's were very nice, well furnished and very clean. O'Hearns had such heart and was a well loved gathering space for the whole family and friends. The party went without a hitch, bringing my mom to tears (which proves it's success!). I highly recommend anyone who needs a "home away from home" vacation to come stay here! Teresa was great with my pesky emails! Best part is the beach is RIGHT THERE! Or wait... best part is DOGS ALLOWED! Or best part is the peace and relaxation!!! Thanks again Teresa... we couldn't have done it without you!

We had so much fun last June, 2012, we booked in Oct for 4th of July week and we are bringing more family this time. We are counting down the days and everyone is excited. We will be celebrating 2 birthdays while we are there. Wheeeee the condos are amazing and accorxing to my 9 year old grandson when we arrived last year..."it makes look like we are rich."
Faye Dickerson at 08/27/2013 04:50pm
We stayed in #28. Peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Perfect for removing stress and close enough to find many mini adventures. Who knew I would actually eat a raw, fresh oyster? I would love to come back. Our son's wedding was on the beach on the 24th and it was a perfect day. We came home to temps in the high 90's. Teresa was great from when I first contacted her and through the stay.
Laura Speight at 05/25/2014 08:54am
A co-worker recommended Happy Camp as a dog friendly place. I visited the website and knew we needed to visit. As we drove onto the property my breath was taken away with the beauty of the bay and ocean. Theresa met us at the car with her bright friendly smile and I knew we had found our perfect place. We are staying in cabin 6. It's not too fancy. The floor tilts slightly. The bedroom door doesn't latch. And we love every little quirk. The bed is super comfy. I love having a fireplace. Both of our dogs are loving being off leash and playing on the sand while we walk. My husband and I will be back! Thanks for a great memory, Bruce and Theresa!
Kay Elliott at 03/05/2015 07:10am
My BBF Cyndi led me to this Oregon jewel and I am so grateful. This is my third year at Happy Camp and I cant wait to get back. The property is both beautiful and rustic, you feel so at home there. My sis and I love to walk the beaches, take hikes in the area, eat at the great little restaurants, sit by the fire pit enjoying nature and relaxing. We go in April and the weather is usually great and not so crowded.

We have been coming to the Oregon Coast and specifically Netarts for many years,Happy Camp has always been held special for us.Last week,11/26/15,Thanksgiving! we had two separate maintenance issues that were addressed Immediately,no third party telling no one is available,no excuses.this kind of integrity, pride and personal service is rare today.I highly recommend spending some time here and in addition the sunsets are fricken awesome

I haven't had a vacation in over a year. It was nice to stay in Cabin #1 to get break from our crazy life, as we now know it. Everything looks nice, and it was low key. Just what I needed. The cabin was awesome! Thank you!!! As my grandma always says, Happy Camp is heaven on earth.

My family just had a stay at happy camp for 5 days and stayed in the Pelican. We had a bigger group this time so we went for one of the houses rather than a cabin, but we have been to happy camp many times and no matter which home or cabin of Teresa’s you stay in I do not think you will be disappointed. Each one is cozy and has everything you will need. If you need anything Teresa is very quick to meet you needs. Happy camp is such a welcoming place, especially those with dogs which can be hard to find when traveling. The beach is such a beautiful spot for relaxing, has a great walk to it and a wonderful view out over the bar. The location is very close to Tillimook for all your needs and if you enjoy eating out. You will love it here! We are already looking at the calendar for our next trip.

Bruce and Teresa are the best ! They always make us feel welcome and treat us like family.
We love Happy Camp !! ❤️

Absolutely love Happy Camp! We try and make it every year. This year was Cabin 7, on the end, Covid 19 safe. We love the fact that we could make a quick stop in Tillamook, grab groceries, head to the cabin. Teresa has everything you need stocked in these funky little cabins on the beach. Social distancing at it's finest. You are literally feet from the beach to enjoy. We love early morning walks, watching the Pelicans, crabbing, and more. It is a quiet, beautiful area....just what you need to recharge. Every year it is like coming home!

Wow!!! What a nice get away during difficult times. Stayed in The Kings Hideaway #38. This house has it all ! Very tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Including fully overstocked kitchen with misc seasonings and every kitchen appliance you could imagine. Big flat screen tvs throughout the house. Nice beds, comfortable cinema recliners, bedding and lots of towels. Free firewood! And Teresa along with her husband are very accommodating! Both are very nice people that want to make sure everyone has a ggod time. You literally only need to bring your food and clothes!! 9.9 out of 10!
Sandra Dean at 08/23/2020 07:14pm
When is a good time to visit the beach? I can find any number of reasons to claim such a trip is necessary, yes, even vital, to my mental and physical health! I grew up in Tillamook so visited Cape Lookout, Cape Meares, Oceanside, and Netarts often. I believe that physically I have a need to "return home" and breathe the fresh salty air and let it course through my veins and brush the cobwebs from my brain. When I was working long hours and was given the opportunity to do some remote work, Happy Camp was just the right spot to have a view as I created reports and it was easy to slide out the door for a quick break walking on the beach! When I was going through some difficult times in my life, I found a visit to Happy Camp offered me time and space to get grounded and focused. When I lost loved ones, I found walking the beach to be especially therapeutic! Our most recent gathering was in the Homestead House - with my grown children and their little ones! Everyone had such a GREAT time! We all just lLOVE Bruce and Theresa - they make sure you are well cared for! Reservations already made for next year for the main family gathering again, but I'll be down a few times solo between now and then!

Happy Camp has been my sanctuary for a couple of years now. Just sitting on the little deck outside the cabin is healing. This time I had just lost my sister to cancer. She loved the sea as much as I do. I stayed in cabin 6 and slept like a log every night.

.....I forgot to mention that I quite often spent some time looking on the "live feed camera" here at home, when I need a Happy Camp fix.

Had a great time! Right on the beach and a great place to bring your furry friend. Everyone was so nice and it was so quiet-very peaceful. As soon as I got home I reserved another cabin for later in June. There is a special little sweetheart that lives there.....Sandy Paws!

What an extraordinary sanctuary getaway and healing place at Happy Camp! We got away from the craziness of life to a secluded, private getaway on cute #7, Kindred Spirits and had a beautiful beachfront view with immediate beach access. We loved the coziness of the cabin with all the extras needed to enjoy our stay. We walked the beach, cooked our meals, rested and slept and enjoyed the fresh beach air and just sat outside and read a book. I love Happy Camp and especially the labor of love Teresa and Bruce put into keeping Happy Camp unique and special place to visit and enjoy.

Always, always, always have a wonderful time at Happy Camp! Stayed in #7 perfect spot for a perfect view of the beach. Enjoy watching the tide go in and out, walk the beach, view the wildlife, and out of the wind. The cabin has everything we need to make our stay so enjoyable. If it doesn't have it Teresa will find it! Coming to Happy Camp every year is like going home! See ya next year!

3 lifelong friends wanted a girls trip to a place we've never been. I have been to Oregon but never Netarts. Man did we luck out finding Happy Camp Hideaway and #37 Sandy Beach Treehouse!! It was in a super private location, a beautiful house with so much space! They mention the beach access in the description but I feel it should be bolded and underlined!(So great!) Although it was me and my "old" friends this trip I can't wait to bring my kids and grandkids back! (They have games for stuff for kids and adults to play for use.) Sorry this is so long but I'm coming off the high of most perfect 4 days in most perfect vacation rental and area!
ps: Go to breakfast at Blue Agate Café in Oceanside and thank me later!

We have been gathering with our family at the "big" house, #4, for many years now. Rain or shine the weather hasn't mattered as there is always so much to do.
Crabbing, clamming, going to Lexi's or just staying in and playing games, it's all fun and games, ha ha. Oh and the fire pit, love it! Oh and the chairs on the beach. For the kiddos the pirate ship is a hit.
Thanks for it all! Teresa and Bruce. See you next year!

Eight Wonderful Women embarked on many #tillamookcountycapers originating from the SeaClusion on the hill! The house is wonderful and slept 8 of us with room left over. From this spot we enjoyed kayaking in Cape Mears Lake (you can fish there too). We kayaked Netarts Bay at high tide at sunset. We walked through the tunnel on Oceanside Beach; and then visited the Cape Mears Lighthouse and the National Wildlife Refuge (w binoculars). If you have a birding scope, bring it. We hiked Bay Ocean Spit and took the train from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach on the other side of the bay as well. We drove to Cape Lookout and then Cape Kiwanda to Pelican Brew Pub for dinner and we were able to catch Munson Falls before dark! We visited the Air Museum yesterday and will hit the Pioneer Museum this morning after we check out. Then Hebo Lake for a visit and we will take the Neskowin River road home to Corvallis. The point here is that there is a ton to do here from this spot on the coast. The house has great views and it’s in a quiet neighborhood! We will rent again!!

Just booked our third trip back to the wonderful Happy Camp! We haven't been since we moved from Portland in 2011, we are back in the northwest again and are looking forward to renewing our annual trip to this beautiful, peacful place.

6/26/23 We stayed in #37 Sandy Beach Tree house. It was an absolute awesome stay. The house is in a beautiful location. A very quiet secluded area and close to everything. The view and beach access is excellent! We had a great stay! The house is super nice! Planning our next stay!

Stayed in cabin # 5 and it was perfect! Highly recommend, Stay in any of the units and stay longer than you think you’ll need b/c you won’t want to leave, regardless of the weather. Location with beach access at your doorstep, perfect size for 2 people and beautiful view. Will definitely stay here again :-)

We stayed in cottage #5 and enjoyed the awesome weather and minus tides. The extra low tides revealed large tidal pools for my senior dog to swim in. The two steps into the cottage are also great for an aging dog. Netarts Bay is a magical place.

Best 4th ever. Our wedding here was epic and we plan to come back next year and renew our vows. And have Fourth of July every year here. Thank you Bruce for officiating our ceremony

My granddaughter and I enjoyed 4 nights in lovely cabin 2. Nothing fancy but comfortable and clean. We watched pelicans from our front deck, walked the bay and beach, ate our meals on the deck. I was in need of a no stress get away and Happy Camp fit the bill. Kitchen has everything you need to fix small meals or you can order meals from one of several local places. Teresa and Bruce are super friendly! We will return. Sooner than later I hope. Love sitting and watching the life on Netarts Bay!

Just about every November for the past 5 years or so, Happy Camp is where I go to unwind from the hot, sometimes hectic summer down south. The cabins I have stayed at (2,3, and 7) are clean, basic, with what I need for any basic cooking needs. They don't break the bank, either. My dogs also LOVE Happy Camp. They just wish we didn't have to drive so far. Bruce and Theresa are wonderful, hard working, folks. Enjoy talking with them when I have the chance. Netarts is the "non Cannon Beach". There is something for everyone up and down the Oregon Coast. Happy Camp is my spot.
